Pastured Heritage Hardwood Smoked Jowl Bacon. Thick sliced. Cut from the jowls (or cheeks) of the pork, jowl bacon is unique in its flavor from the rest. Jowl bacon is the fattiest of the bacons and has a rich, almost smoky/sweet flavor different than traditional (from the pork belly). While it can be enjoyed cooked up as is like the other bacons, it is often used as a flavoring, such as with baked beans. Frozen and vacuum sealed. Ethically raised on pasture on our Hamilton County farm, without the use of synthetic chemicals, hormones, or antibiotics.
