Bottom round steak is one of the leanest cuts from the cow, and when properly tenderized, is succulent and delicious.
One of the best methods to cook this cut is to first tenderize it by either using a meat mallet, a marinade, or both. Then pan fry it.
It is worth the trouble for its intense beef flavor. Cut 1" thick.
